The New SPARK Mutli Purpose Hall AV System

presonus, 16 RU fligh case, This Multi Purpose Hall, as the name implies is used  for many things. When we first went to see the place it has an existing PA system. There was a TOA PA system installed in the place, which isn't bad if this was a small meeting room, a canteen or a fast food restaurant- unfortunately it wasn't. The place can sit seven hundred pax. So we went on to change the system and added a projector plus a projection screen.

Our boss had someone supply us the equipment, we, like most of the time had a design for it but then in the end we always end up installing some other equipment supplied to us which, needless to say, are not in our original list for the original design.

One amp for the two GH60s and another one for the TH115. The floor monitors are extra speakers we pulled out form one of our venues, a pair of active db Technologies FLEXSYS FM12. The stage wasn't that big and a live band set up on there will be a rarity. A XILICA XP4080 manages the speakers. All signal cables run back to the temporary control booth located on the ledge/viewing gallery. Where a Presonus Studiolive24.4.2 will handle Inputs and outputs. This mixer will be more than enough to handle any event that will be held in the place.

The screen was a motorized Remaco XXL hung just above stage, there was no place else to put the big screen, it can't be installed at the rear of the stage as the ceiling of the stage was just as high as the screen height. For inputs going into the projector, we installed two video port on the stage and another port on the control booth. Each video/audio signals from the stage are sent to the switcher via Extron MTP T 15HD RS  transmitter/MTP RL15HDA receiver. From the MTPs the video signal goes into the Extron MVX  44VGA switcher, audio goes into the presonus mixer and video is then sent to the projector. Two pairs of Audio Technica ATW-R1200 receivers and three ATW-T220A
handheld transmitters and one ATW-T210a bodypack for the lapel wireless mic system was also patched into the mixer for announcements.

Lighting for the stage were a mixture of cheap spots, LED pars and profiles all from china. All of which are controlled via a Sunlight DMX interface connected to a laptop in the control booth.

All the equipment in the control booth are house in a 16RU flight with casters, front and back covers of the flight case serves as a table for the mixer during events.

Though we didn't get to put our original design into it, in the end, it turned out good. Functional and more than enough for the place.
